2022 has been a particularly busy legislative year for the US water treatment industry. This year alone has seen a substantial increase in the number of state bills the Water Quality Association (WQA) is tracking – more than 300 pieces of legislation, up nearly 30% from 2021. This is partly due to significant investments in drinking water infrastructure through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (P.L. 117 – 58) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulatory actions, prompting increased focus on challenges and solutions in terms of drinking water at the state level:

Financing
